Another chair from Fritz Hansen but this one is not a classic like Series 7 from Arne Jacobsen, at least not yet. Kasper Salto graduated in 1994 as a designer from the Danish Design School. In Kasper Salto's work the Danish tradition of furniture design is continued in a well-balanced combination with international industrial design. Salto's main source of inspiration is nature's superior way of designing and coloring. In spite of his young age, Kasper Salto has already received several design awards.

The NAP chair from 2010 is a reflection of Kasper Salto's approach to design. "For me the NAP chair is all about being able to sit well in as many positions as possible. The name NAP is an abbreviation of the three key sitting positions; Normal, Active and Passive – because sitting is in fact a constant movement." With its curvaceous form, the NAP chair is feminine and elegant. The contours of the Nylon shell adapt naturally to the shape of the human body and the textured waves turn hours of sitting into an attractive proposition. "If people who sit in the chair notice they have been sitting comfortably, I think I've succeeded." Say's Salto.
